Your logo and colors on every PDF
A clean layout with your letterhead, page numbers on every page, and one report or the whole set with a contents page. Pick a color to see it.
Your techs fill each unit's startup sheet on their phone. The office sees where every unit stands. The Cx agent gets a clean, branded PDF instead of a half-filled spreadsheet weeks later.

Mark complete?
Some fields are blank. Blank fields print as a dash. Mark it complete anyway?
Try it. Tap the checks and readings on the phone, then Mark complete. The PDF fills in as you go.

Before and after
Excel workbooks and paper sheets come back half-filled, unsigned and late. With StartupSend, the same startup reaches the Cx agent complete, stamped with who and when, and on your letterhead.

How it works
The office sets up the job once. Techs fill reports where the equipment is. A reviewer checks them if you want one. The Cx agent gets the whole set.
Make the project, pick the startup sheets it needs, and paste the equipment list straight from Excel. Every row becomes a report. Or skip it: techs can add units as they go.
| Tag | Equipment | Location | Report | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RTU-1 | Packaged rooftop unit | Roof, east | RTU | Not started |
| RTU-2 | Packaged rooftop unit | Roof, west | RTU | Not started |
| EF-1 | Exhaust fan | Roof, north | Fan | Not started |
| FCU-1 | Fan coil unit | Level 2, corridor | Fan Coil | Not started |
| WSHP-1 | Water source heat pump | Level 3, suite 310 | WSHP | Not started |
| UH-1 | Unit heater | Parking garage | Unit Heater | Not started |
Big buttons, number pads, mode tables and L1/L2/L3 readings. Their name and the date fill themselves. Add photos and a signature on any phone.
Reports go to your internal reviewer first. Return one with a note, or approve it. Skip review on the jobs that don't need it.
Approved reports go out as one branded PDF, with a contents page, to the Cx agent, GC or owner. Every PDF you send is kept on the project.
Features
A clean layout with your letterhead, page numbers on every page, and one report or the whole set with a contents page. Pick a color to see it.
The first entry stamps the tech's name and today's date. No more blank sign-off lines.
One-tap answers, Enter jumps to the next box, and "copy from RTU-1" fills the nameplate on the next unit.
Every save is kept with who and when. Take any report back to any point. Removed work goes to the Trash, and a full copy of your data is saved every night.
Start from the library, or build any sheet from blocks. The builder knows the fields for each kind of equipment and suggests them as you type.
Phone on the roof, tablet in the mechanical room, two monitors in the office. Light and dark mode. Nothing to install.
HVAC is where we started, not where we stop. Plumbing, electrical, controls and fire sheets build the same way.
Template library
Every template captures what the manufacturer and the Cx agent ask for. Use them as they are, or change any field, section or title to match your own sheets.
Pricing
Per-user form apps charge $24 to $55 for every person who opens them. StartupSend is priced per company, so the whole crew is covered for one price.
Company plan: $149 a month for all 12. A per-user app at $24 to $55 a person would run $288 to $660 a month.
$79/month
For small shops getting off paper.
$149/month
For contractors running several jobs at once.
Let's talk
For large contractors and Cx firms.
Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, no card needed. Pay by card or invoice, and pay yearly to get two months free.
No. StartupSend runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Add it to the home screen and it opens like an app.
Yes. Start from the library template closest to your sheet, then add, remove, rename and reorder fields until it captures exactly what yours does. Your logo and colors go on every PDF.
By card or by invoice. With a card, payment runs through Stripe, and receipts, card changes and cancelling are on Stripe's own page.
It's yours. Your admin can download all of your data any time from the Company page, and every PDF you've sent stays one click away on its project.
What they type is kept on their phone until it reaches us, and saves the moment signal comes back. Full offline mode is on the way.
Only the people your admin adds. Each company's data is walled off from every other company's.
About
StartupSend
StartupSend was built by a commissioning engineer who spends his days reviewing startup reports: half-filled sheets, missing readings, unsigned pages and PDFs that show up weeks after the equipment ran.
The fix wasn't another form app. It was a tool that knows what an RTU startup needs, lets the office set up the whole job in minutes, lets the tech finish on the roof, and gets a clean, consistent PDF to the Cx agent without anyone retyping a thing.
We started with HVAC because that's where the pain is sharpest. The same builder handles any trade's startup and checkout sheets.
